About Me
I taught middle and high school English and worked as a literacy coach before joining MAUSD as the K-12 Literacy Coordinator in 2017. I hold a B.A. in English Education from Colby-Sawyer College, a Master's Degree in Literacy K-12 from The University of New England, as well as Post-Master's Graduate Certificates in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction, also from The University of New England.
I believe in the power of literacy education to change a person's life. Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are how we engage with the world around us; creating thought-provoking, student-centered educational opportunities for young people to develop the literacy skills that will serve them throughout their lives is what motivates me in my work. I'm incredibly grateful to work with the talented and passionate members of the MAUSD community to support the wonderful students in our learning community.
